Do I lose my data if I uninstall Espresso?

No. You will lose the ability to edit your data using Espresso, but your data, as well as any already published changes, will remain in your Shopify store. If you uninstall and reinstall within 48 hours, your change history (and with it the ability to roll back changes), settings, and other preferences will be retained.

What information can Espresso access in my store?

For Espresso to function correctly, the app requires the following store permissions by default:

  • Products
  • Inventory
  • Collections
  • Files
  • Pages
  • Metaobjects
  • Metaobject definitions

Additionally, Espresso has access to the store owner’s contact information and location, as well as the email address, IP address, browser, and operating system of content providers.

You can view the specific permissions that Espresso has in your store’s settings at any time.

I cannot see the horizontal scroll bar when using my Mac

macOS hides scroll bars by default when they are not in use. This can be tricky when using certain mice without horizontal scrolling functionality.

To work around this, you can toggle scroll bars to always show on your Mac in the device settings.

Go to Settings => Appearance => Under "Show scroll bars" select "Always".
