Rebuilding indexes

To offer a smooth editing experience, Espresso automatically maintains an index for each scope. If our indexes become stale for any reason, you can instruct Espresso to reindex a selected scope. This is typically done only when instructed by our support team. Reindexing is a non-destructive action and runs in the background, ensuring minimal disruption to your workflow.

How to rebuild an index

To rebuild individual indexes, click on the Settings button in the sidebar.

Under the Indexes settings tab, you can rebuild indexes by clicking on the Reindex button next to each individual scope. The reindexing process will automatically begin.

While the reindexing process runs, you will see an indexing status next to the selected scope when clicking on New Edit on the dashboard. Once it has finished, you can freely create edits of that scope once again.
