Getting Started
Welcome to Espresso Bulk Editor! This guide will help you get started with the app and make your first edits quickly and efficiently.
Espresso is designed to streamline the management of your Shopify store by providing an intuitive, spreadsheet-style interface for bulk editing products, collections, pages, and more. With features like draft edits, bulk apply, and scheduling, you can make changes confidently and save valuable time.
In this article, we'll cover the basics of setting up the app, navigating the interface, and making your first edit. For detailed tutorials on specific features, be sure to check out the other articles in our documentation. Let's get started!
The Dashboard
The dashboard is your starting point in Espresso Bulk Editor. It provides an overview of all object scopes in your Shopify store, such as products, collections, pages, metaobjects, etc.
Each object scope is represented as a card, giving you quick access to manage that specific type of data.
- Create New Edits: On each card, you'll find a button to start a new edit. Clicking this will open the spreadsheet editor for the selected scope, allowing you to make changes effortlessly.
- View Previous Edits: Once you have created your first edit for a scope, you can navigate to the list of previously made edits by clicking on the link at the bottom of each card. This takes you to a history of changes, where you can revisit, publish, or revert edits as needed.
The dashboard is designed to make it easy to access the tools you need, whether you're making new changes or managing past edits.
The Editor
The editor page is where all the magic happens in Espresso Bulk Editor. Once you select an object scope and create a new edit, you’ll be taken to the editor page, which provides a spreadsheet-style interface designed for intuitive and efficient bulk editing.
We recommend exploring the How to Use articles in the left-hand navigation menu for detailed explanations on how to make the most of Espresso’s powerful editing features. Here are a few key highlights:
The Edits List
The Edits page is your central hub for managing all the changes you've made using Espresso. It provides a comprehensive list of edits, including drafts, scheduled edits, completed edits, and reverted edits. You can navigate to this page from the left-hand menu of your admin.
This list includes all edits you've created, along with their status:
- Drafts: Edits saved but not yet published or scheduled.
- Scheduled: Edits set to be published at a specific time.
- Completed: Edits successfully applied to your store.
- Reverted: Edits that have been undone and reverted to their previous draft state.
Each edit has an action menu on the right, giving you options to continue, publish, schedule, or revert, depending on its current status.
