Revert an Edit

Reverting an edit in Espresso allows you to undo changes previously applied to your store and restore the original values. Whether you need to end a sales campaign or fix an unintended update, reverting an edit is quick and easy.

Step 1: Navigate to the Edits Page

  1. Click on Edits in the sidebar navigation.
  2. Locate the edit you want to revert from the list. Edits with the status Completed are eligible for reversion.

Step 2: Open the Action Menu and Click "Revert changes"

  1. On the far-right side of the row for the completed edit, click on the Action Menu.
  2. Select Revert changes from the menu.

Step 3: Choose Method

When you choose to revert changes, you'll be prompted with two options:

  • Revert now: Undo the changes right away and restore the original values in your store.
  • Schedule: Set a specific date and time for the changes to be reverted. This is useful for planned updates, like ending a sales campaign automatically.

Notes:

  • Reverting an edit restores the original values of all affected objects as they were before the edit was applied.
  • If the edit involved multiple changes, all changes will be undone as part of the reversion process.
  • Scheduled reverts can be canceled or rescheduled from the Edits page before the scheduled time.
